THE STIFF KITTIE STORY...

Kevin and Steve in 1993, back when Kevin had a mullet and Steve was extremely overweight

You think you know, but you have no idea...this is the story of STIFF KITTIE!

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away...

Well it all started in 1993 back when Steve and Scott were ambitious fifth graders on the school bus.  Well, maybe not ambitious but definitely mischevious.  It wasnt until the two were exiled to the front of the bus for causing trouble that they became friends.  For nearly the whole fifth grade school year, the two befriended each other as they sat behind the watchful eye of their bus driver, Patty.  As time went by, the two gradually lost touch until the summer of their freshman year.  The two reunited again at OZ Fest (no not the Ozzy OzzFest, just our lame local concert).  From then on they were best friends.

Soon after, Kevin, who was a friend of Steve's brother, had recently started a band with Dave, the infamous Paul, some other dudes, and himself.  Although short-lived, the band SPUD brought Kev and Steve together.  Because of Steve's brother being the drummer of SPUD, Kevin and Steve got to know each other fairly well.Unsuprisingly, the band SPUD broke up and left Kevin with musical genius, but no band to share it with.

One day in 1997 Scott and Steve were walking to class when Kev stopped Steve to say hello.  The following is the actual dialogue that took place on that monumental day:

Kevin: Wassup Steve!
Steve: Yo, Kevin whats going on?!
Kevin: Oh not much, just on my way to class.  Hey, hows your brother?
Steve: He's good...just trying to graduate. (turns to Scott) Hey, have you met
          Kevin before?
Scott: Nah
Steve: Kevin, this is Scroat
Kevin: Ha ha ha.....wassup dude.  Hey I gotta get to class. Later guys.
Scott: Man I'm thirsty...Im gonna go get some milk.

The following semester, Scott and Kevin went to their first day of computer applications class and remembered each other.  "Hey youre Scroat right?" "Ha ha ha, yeah." "So whats youre real name?" "Scott."
From then on, they became good friends, causing trouble together whenever they could.

Ultimately, the three started hanging out and became best friends.  Scott and Kevin regularly wrote songs together as they had more free time on their hands then their estudious friend Steve.  Occasionally, when Steve's mom would let him out of the house, he would join them in their songwriting endeavors, creating such old school classics as the Chinese Song, and the Freestyle Song (SandK).  But it wasn't until the three wrote the song Do You Really Wanna? that they labeled themselves as the band Stiff Kittie.

As time progressed, sucky girlfriends, graduation, and poor time management kept the boys from writing or recording until the summer of 2001 when the band wrote their hit song "Like Sands Through the Hourglass."  And although Scott became less involved in the band, Kevin and Steve continued writing classic Stiff Kittie songs, taking their band much more seriously than before.  They have even been called the next John Lennon and Paul McCartney because of their songwriting abilities.

And so the legend continues (or rather begins) as Kevin and Steve continue writing and recording your favorite Stiff Kittie hits in preparation for their Debut album.

Stay tuned because music as we know it may never be the same once Stiff Kittie changes the world...this is only the beginning....
